The OPSL is constantly looking for top players, teams, managers, sponsors, and referees to raise the level of play, professionalism, and exposure of our top-flight competition, while raising the region-wide standards for soccer at every level.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE OPSL

The sucess of the OPSL derives from its focus on promoting the highest level of amateur soccer in Oregon. The league is member based to ensure the quality of play, in all respects and so that it can be closely managed when it comes to referees, fields, and team managers.

The OPSL board itself is active: made up of individuals who play, manage teams, and participate directly in the management of the league. A top priority of the board is to support the league's managers and clubs, to ensure the players and referees can focus on the games themselves.

Teams transitioning into the OPSL sometimes find it difficult. The jump in competition is challenging. If a team is organized and managed effectively, the OPSL has an excellent track record supporting our teams to become viable contenders in the league. We recognize the four primary challenges teams experience - funding, attracting and retaining quality players and fields, and organization - and as a league we work hard to help our teams excell in these areas.

OPEN DIVISION PROSPECTIVE PLAYERS

Looking to join an Open Division club? Want to test your skills against the best of the best in the region? Landing a roster spot on an OPSL Open team can be very challenging. Available roster spots tend to go to players with exceptional skill who are also great competitors. The league is highly competitive and teams look for players that aspire to reach or maintain a nearly professional level of play. Strong preference is usually given to players with excellent fitness and strong playing resumes.

OVER 30s DIVISION PROSPECTIVE PLAYERS

If you are a talented over 30s players and think you have what it takes to test your skills against some of the highest skilled and experienced players around then the OPSL O30s division is for you.

O30 clubs tend to stock players with a vast and a high level of experience and are always looking for young talent ready to transition. Don't be fooled, the skill level can be off the charts and the teams compete enthusiatically!

PROSPECTIVE NEW TEAMS

One of the core values of the OPSL is to provide the highest level of competition week in and week out, therefore the quality of play and organization is of the highest importance. The OPSL is selective with new member teams. Interesed teams should be prepared to talk about their accomplishments and track record.

The OPSL consists of teams who have earned the right to join in by invitation. Interested teams should also be able to talk specifically about their team's quality and structure and have a manger/coach on board.
